Blog Assignment 5

The whole new mind
Human brain is amazing because it has more connections than there are atoms in the universe. Humans need both right side and left side brain to manage themselves and anything around them. The right side controlled creative tasks, while the left side was where logic, language and reasoning. Right brain and lift brain acting like two brains with two styles of seeing, understanding and making sense of the world. That’s why we need to use both of them.
For example if we follow roles and guidance to do something, and logical stuff we are using the left brain, but when we start put all the information together to create something new we are using the right brain.
The whole new mind talks about the six senses that human use: Design, story, sympathy, empathy, play, and meaning. Each of us has different meaning and understanding for each one of these six senses. Design “To many business people, design is something you spread on the surface, it's like icing on a cake. It's nice, but not mission-critical” (zen) design is very challenging because when you design something you design it the way you like it and for company that might not work, having a bigger imagination, and understanding people need would help to have a better design that fit everybody. Story: “Facts, information, data. Most of it is available on-line or can be sent to people in an email, a PDF attachment, or a hard copy through snail mail. Data and "the facts" have never been more widely available.”(zen). What people care now more than data is story, because data is available everywhere now and it’s easy to reach it not many people care about reaching these data unless there is an attractive story behind it or emotional. For example one of the most success company in the world is Apple, because Apple did understand the people need and giving them a good story about the product they sell like it’s easy to use, the shape of the phone all of these made everyone want to carry one of Apple products. Sympathy: focus, realize, analysis. Sympathy is really important and it’s hard to use as a lot of the people more emotional, and they can lose how to focus in something without interruption.  Empathy: is using your emotional side, as human we made a lot of decision regarding to our emotional feeling even if their wrong. And some people say “I know my decision is wrong but it feel right doing it” that’s all based in emotional feeling not the brain thinking. Play, meaning both of them is important because without them there no meaning for the life acting and working all the time like a robot. Each one of us should have time to play and have fun, in the other hand we should know and having a deep meaning of what we do and why we’re doing it
On a stretch project, we encounter our limitations, weaknesses and doubts. The project challenges us not only on a professional level but also on a personal level. Research has shown that individuals who are more emotionally mature fare better with the challenging projects in today’s work place.

By feeding in the different components that offer conclusion over time can investigate preceding trends and patterns to forecast the future.
G. R. Pugh & business does consulting to predict the charges of bonds of public utilities. The business utilized neural network to help forecast the following years business bond prices and rankings of over 100 public utility companies. The only adversities came across by the mesh were associated with companies experiencing particularly unusual problems that were not incorporated into the systems inputs.
Medical diagnosis is an example of expert system the knowledge groundwork would comprise health data, the symptoms of the patient would be utilized as the query, and the recommendations would be a identify of the patient’s sickness The software used in medical apparatus controls and interacts exactly with the physical natural environment, it is subject to firm asset constraints, it must function in real-time, it desires to persuade many safety requirements, as well as other obligations such as reliability and availability.

Nokia
Nokia was running for 14 years as the world’s top mobile maker. After that Nokia start foaling. Nokia didn’t understand the people need of new software, and they were just focusing on the hardware, ignoring the people need of new Apps. While Apple and Samsung came out with new software and hardware that satisfies their customers. It’s more accurate that Nokia was a hardware company rather than software company. Nokia reacted slowly to shift from Symbian to windows, and that make them lose their competition with Samsung and Apple as they already build customer satisfaction which make it harder for the customer to switch back to Nokia that failed them before. Nokia moved too slowly in the smartphone market and they lost their competition even among small competitors to them like HTC, Huawei and ZTE.
“And there was another mistake. Nokia overestimated the strength of its brand, and believed that even if it was late to the smartphone game it would be able to catch up quickly.” (SUROWIECKI) customers reactions were fast punishing Nokia and change to another smartphone leaving Nokia behind. “The Good old Nokia was the leader of mobile phone technology for a good decade, but they got stuck in one mindset, and failed to remain agile enough to the needs of their customers. Instead of selling what people want to buy, they ended up insisting on selling what they think people should buy.”(Saeid)
